This is our second year of 5K Charity race!

We will start our adventure at Evergreen Heritage Park’s Shelter 10. Going along twist and turns along the path of Coffee Creek Streamway Trail, we will turn back at midway mark where you will find our friend volunteers at refueling station to help you reenergize and turn around on your way back to same Shelter 10 where the race will conclude. Please know that as you return, you will be awarded with a medal and delicious snacks made by our hardworking volunteers who will get up early in the morning to support and cheer for you.

As we make our journey together, all of us need to remember why we are doing this. There is an organization known as SNEHWAN (A place for affection), which houses, educates and develops future of children of farmers who unfortunately committed suicide. Since 2015, SNEHWAN has been active in housing these children by not only giving them basic needs but also educate them to become successful person in life. At first when SNEHWAN was just at its infancy stage, their effort started in their founder’s home with 18 children. With the good wishes and support from many generous individuals such as you, they have grown to have hundreds of such Little Stars and build hostels for boys and girls. Please do visit our webpage to know more about their mission and dedication. It is fund from your run/walk that is going to help support their efforts in our own ‘Kansas way’.

Coming back to this event, if you are someone who is participating in 5K for the first time, you will get a special mention and our dedicated volunteers will make sure you get top rated support. If you are an avid runner, you already know the benefits of physical activity obviously; and most importantly how friendships are made during these runs. It doesn’t matter what your background is or what your beliefs are, we will gather with a noble cause in heart and a goal to reach that finish line. If you want to walk for entire 5,000 meters, we have many friends ready to join you. You can bring your entire family and neighbors and spend this time with us.
