Rhythm and Roots – Explore Indian Dance: Kathak Edition – May 30

Step into the graceful world of Kathak, where rhythm meets storytelling and every movement speaks. This engaging workshop offers children a joyful introduction to one of India’s most expressive classical dance forms. Through fun, interactive learning, kids will begin to understand how music, rhythm, and expression come together to tell captivating stories.

In a warm and encouraging environment, participants will build confidence, coordination, and creativity while exploring the fundamentals of Kathak. The workshop is designed to spark curiosity about cultural traditions while keeping the experience light, playful, and inspiring.

• Rhythmic footwork and coordination
• Graceful spins and body control
• Expressive storytelling through facial expressions and gestures
• Basic hand movements (mudras) and postures
• Understanding rhythm (taal) through clapping and movement
• Building stage presence and confidence

No prior dance experience is needed, just enthusiasm and a willingness to move, learn, and have fun!
