OVERLAND PARK, KS, October 25, 2026: It was an unforgettable evening of dance, celebration, and generosity as Seva Dance presented its fifth annual INfusion show on Saturday, October 24, at Yardley Hall at Johnson County Community College. Before a packed house, more than 200 Seva dancers delivered a spectacular two-hour production filled with vibrant performances, energy, and cultural pride. The evening’s biggest moment came with the announcement of a record-breaking $100,000 donation to Supporting Kids Foundation, benefiting Kansas City families facing the financial hardships of pediatric cancer. With this year’s contribution, Seva Dance has now donated an extraordinary $330,000 to local children’s charities over five years, demonstrating the power of a community coming together through the arts to make a meaningful difference. The evening also featured a special appearance by representatives of the Love Fund for Children, Seva Dance’s 2025 beneficiary, who shared how last year’s $80,000 donation was put to work helping children in need. Sean Aikmus of Supporting Kids Foundation delivered a heartfelt address, reminding everyone why the organization’s mission, “Because No One Budgets for Cancer,” matters so deeply to families throughout Kansas City.

Celebrating the Next Generation of Community Leaders. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of Seva Dance’s first-ever Spirit of Seva Awards, recognizing four remarkable young individuals: Anya Shah, Jaiden Shah, Liam Patel, and Raina Gupta. These students exemplified what Seva Dance strives to inspire beyond the stage. By stepping outside their familiar circles, connecting with community leaders, and learning to confidently share their personal Seva stories, they developed the courage and communication skills to advocate for a mission that makes a difference in Kansas City. Seva Dance also celebrated its Youth Leadership Group, whose members took an active role in this year’s fundraising efforts. From organizing a youth-led Garba celebration to coordinating a Seva T-shirt drive, these students gained hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, community engagement, and philanthropy, and their contributions helped Seva Dance reach its $100,000 fundraising milestone. For these young leaders, the greatest reward extends far beyond the money raised. The confidence, relationships, and sense of responsibility developed through these experiences are lessons they will carry throughout their lives.

More Than Dance. A Lasting Community Impact. Founded on the belief that art can inspire service, Seva Dance is a 100% volunteer-driven nonprofit that brings together children and adults to celebrate Indian culture while making a tangible difference in the lives of Kansas City families. Through INfusion, young dancers not only embrace their cultural heritage and develop a love for performing, but also learn the importance of compassion, generosity, and giving back to the community they call home. Five years. More than 200 dancers. $330,000 donated. Countless lives touched. For Seva Dance, the impact continues long after the final curtain falls.
