ABKC Sangam Summer Festival 2026 – 06/13

The Association of Bengalis in Kansas City (ABKC) invites the community to its Sangam Summer Festival 2026 on Saturday, June 13 at Trail Ridge Middle School, 7500 Quivira Road, Shawnee Mission, KS 66216. Gates open at 3:00 PM and the festivities run through 9:00 PM — a full afternoon and evening celebrating Bengali theater, classical music, food, and the warmth of community togetherness.

The afternoon begins with an open, welcoming energy as guests arrive and settle in. Here is how the day unfolds:

3:00 PM — Gates Open

3:00–4:00 PM — Snacks & Socialization
Start the evening with light bites and good conversation as the community gathers.

4:00–5:30 PM — Natya Sangam presents Narok Gulzar
The theatrical centerpiece of the festival — a powerful production written by the legendary Bengali playwright Manoj Mitra and brought to life on stage by director Dr. Animesh Dhar.

5:30–6:00 PM — Recognition Ceremony
A moment to honor and celebrate members of the community for their contributions and achievements.

6:00–7:00 PM — Dinner
Sit down to a full dinner included with every ticket — a chance to reconnect with familiar faces and make new ones.

7:00–9:00 PM — Classical Musical Evening
The night closes with a soul-stirring classical music performance featuring Vidushi Piu Mukherjee on vocals, Pt. Ashis Sengupta on tabla, and Sarang Sudhangshu Kulkarni on harmonium.

Tickets are available at multiple price points to ensure the festival is accessible to everyone. VIP/Patron tickets are $85 per person, Regular tickets are $50, and Early Bird tickets are available at $40 — but only through May 31, so act fast. Student tickets are $25, and children below high school age are admitted free. All tickets include snacks and dinner.
