It begins much earlier, with a first class, a first adavu, a first correction, a first performance, and the steady effort of a child who grows with the art form year after year.
Nrityam School of Dance in Overland Park is now enrolling for Fall 2026, welcoming students from age 4 through adult. Led by Guru Smt. Ketaki Ghanekar, who has been teaching in the Kansas City area since 2012, Nrityam offers a structured Bharatanatyam journey that supports students from their earliest steps to advanced performance milestones.

At Nrityam, students receive small-group instruction, individual correction, a structured 10-level curriculum, and performance opportunities in a spacious and conveniently located studio. The school’s approach helps dancers build not only technique, but also discipline, confidence, expression, stage presence, and a deeper connection to Indian classical arts.
The journey from beginner to Arangetram is one of patience, practice, family commitment, and personal growth. With six students completing Arangetram in the past two years, Nrityam continues to nurture dancers through a meaningful path of learning and achievement.
