This International Day of Yoga, KCdesi invites you to step outside, breathe deep, and move together under the open sky. In collaboration with the Consulate General of India, Houston, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and an inspiring coalition of Kansas City community organizations, we’re coming together at Heritage Park, Shelter #9 in Olathe for a morning of harmony, health, and happiness — completely free.
The session runs Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM — plan to arrive by 8:00 AM so you’re settled in when the guided session begins at 8:30 AM. Led by certified yoga teachers, the morning flows through warm-ups, Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercises), and Dharana & Dhyan (guided meditation) — a complete, grounding practice for all levels. Wear comfortable yoga attire and come prepared: bring your yoga mat, water bottle, bug spray, and a cap or hat for the morning sun. This is a free event, but registration is required — reserve your spot at tiny.cc/idyks2026.
The event draws support from a remarkable lineup of Kansas City community organizations — The Art of Living, India Association of Kansas City, Isha Foundation, Ganesha Temple Kansas, HSS, Kansas City Bengali Association, SMAP Yoga Pariwar Samiti, Lokre Foundation, Saicon, and many more. For questions or inclement weather updates, contact Ganesh at (913) 909-9049 or ganesht@artofliving.org, Ruchi at 816-210-7967, or Shrirang at (612) 703-5964.
