Nritya School of Indian Dance and Music is the first Indian dance school established in Kansas City, founded in 1988 by Guru Hema Sharma. A non-profit organization recognized by the Mayor’s Ethnic Enrichment Commission, Nelson-Atkins Museum, and the India Association of Kansas City. On the Kansas Arts Commission’s Arts on Tour Roster since 2006. Offers Bharatanatyam, Indian folk dance, yoga, harmonium, keyboard, and vocal Carnatic music. Classes from age 4 through adult, beginner to professional level. Located at 12013 Hayes St, Overland Park, KS.
