The Kansas City Tamil Sangam (KCTS) brought the community out in stride for its annual 5K and 10K Walk/Run on Saturday, May 23rd. The event drew participants of all ages and fitness levels, uniting Kansas City’s Tamil and broader South Asian community around a shared love of health, movement, and togetherness.
KCTS, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has long been a cornerstone of Tamil cultural life in the Kansas City metro. Events like the Walk/Run reflect the organization’s commitment to building community beyond cultural programming — fostering wellness and connection among families and individuals across the region. Participants registered for either the 5K or 10K distance, with registration and payment handled through the KCTS website at kctamilsangam.org.
Whether you laced up for the full 10K or joined for a casual 5K stroll, the event was a reminder of the vibrant, active community that KCTS continues to nurture year after year. Stay connected with KCTS for upcoming events, membership opportunities, and more at kctamilsangam.org/upcomingevents.
