Performance Submission Guidelines

Each performance should be between 2 to 4 minutes long.

While solo performances are highly encouraged, group performances are also welcome.

To ensure opportunities for multiple participants, each individual may submit only one solo and/or one group performance, regardless of the category.

Participants must be at least 5 years old to take part in the event.

In keeping with the spirit of a talent show, IAKC encourages participants to showcase their individual talents rather than presenting professionally choreographed performances.

There are limited spots available for each category and performance type. After submission, IAKC reserves the right to selection.

Audio tracks (if needed) are not required at the time of submission, but will be requested if your performance is selected by the IAKC review committee.

IAKC will not provide instruments or props required for the performances. Participants should bring their own instruments, such as flute, guitar, keyboard etc.

Any entries received after the submission due date, won’t be considered.

IAKC YUVA’s Got Talent – FAQs
Who can participate in the talent show?
Any performer aged 5 years and above is eligible to participate.
Is there a time limit for performances?
Yes. Performances must be between 2 and 4 minutes.
Will instruments be provided?
No. Performers must bring their own instruments.
How much time is allowed for instrument setup?
Performers should complete as much setup as possible before the event begins. Only a few seconds before and after the performance will be available for final setup and breakdown.
Where will the event take place?
The event will be held in the small theater at Shawnee Mission North High School.
Submissions
What happens after I submit the form?
IAKC will review all submissions and notify the selected performers.
IAKC’s decision regarding performance selection will be final.
Fees
Is there a fee to submit a performance?
No. Performance submissions are free.
Is there a participation fee?
Once selected:

IAKC Members: Free

Non-Members: $15 participation fee
Tickets
Do guests need tickets?
Yes. All guests must purchase tickets.
IAKC members will enjoy a subsidized ticket rate, providing an exclusive benefit to our valued members.
Your membership will be valid until the end of the year, enabling you to enjoy its benefits at future IAKC events and activities.
Ticket purchase portal! Make sure to log in with your IAKC membership ID to access the subsidized ticket rate.
Can tickets be purchased at the venue?
No. Tickets must be purchased in advance online. Seating is limited and sales will close once capacity is reached.
I have a child under 5. Do they need a ticket?
No, little guests under 5 years old get free admission! We can’t wait to welcome your little one to the event.
I am an IAKC lifetime member. Do I need to purchase tickets?
No, as a cherished part of our IAKC family, lifetime members receive two complimentary tickets as our way of saying thank you for your continued support!

Refund Policy
Can I get a refund if I cannot attend?
We’re sorry you won’t be able to join us! Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable. We truly appreciate your understanding and support.

We’re sorry to hear that you won’t be able to participate! Unfortunately, participation fees are non-refundable. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope to see you at a future event!
Food
Will food be available?
Yes, snacks will be available for purchase.
Please note that food is not allowed inside the auditorium.

Note: IAKC members perform for free, but you must still book your free participation ticket to ensure your spot.
