CMKC, renowned for its commitment to preserving and promoting the rich heritage of Sanathana Dharma, offers a variety of programs and events that cater to individuals of all ages.
A Legacy of Service: About CMKC
Chinmaya Mission Kansas City was founded in August 2009 with a mission to serve the Greater Kansas City community by teaching values to children and imparting the knowledge of Hindu scriptures to people of all ages. Every Sunday morning, CMKC offers Bala Vihar and language classes for children, as well as satsangs for adults, at a local middle school. The teachers for Bala Vihar and language classes are dedicated volunteers who use a Mission-wide curriculum to educate the children. Additionally, many volunteers contribute their time and efforts to support various activities within the mission, ensuring the smooth running of all programs and events.
Chinmaya Bala Vihar: Nurturing Young Minds
One of the cornerstone programs of CMKC is the Chinmaya Bala Vihar. This cultural and spiritual value-based education program is designed for children from PreK to Grade 12. Held every Sunday, Bala Vihar aims to impart spiritual and cultural education, fostering an understanding and appreciation of Sanathana Dharma through scriptural stories, games, and activities. The program provides a nurturing environment where children can learn and grow while embracing their cultural roots.

- Schedule: Every Sunday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- Dates: August 20, 2023, to May 16, 2024
- Activities: Bala Vihar classes, language classes, and study groups

CMKC Trial Bala Vihar Class 2024-2025: CMKC is thrilled to offer trial Bala Vihar classes exclusively for new families on August 18th and 25th. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience a typical Sunday class and gain insight into the enriching Bala Vihar program. We encourage new families to take advantage of this opportunity to see firsthand the positive impact of this program on their children.
