“India Nite 2023”: A Spectacular Showcase of Indian Performing Arts A Cultural Extravaganza that Dazzles the Senses

The cultural tapestry of India came alive in a riot of colors, rhythms, and emotions at the much-anticipated India Nite 2023 event held by India Association of Kansas City (IAKC), at the Liberty Performing Arts Theater over the weekend. This annual extravaganza, a celebration of India’s rich artistic heritage, brought together artists, connoisseurs, and enthusiasts from all corners of the Great Kansas City area to revel in the enchanting world of dance, music, and drama.

The event, spanning an entire afternoon, featured a kaleidoscope of performances that left the audience spellbound. From classical dance forms to contemporary fusion, the program was a testament to the diversity of Indian performing arts. A combination of classical elegance, soul stirring music and dramatic excellence made a perfect recipe for an audio-visual delight for audience all ages alike.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the talented choreographers Jeevi Kumaresan, Samarpita Bajpai, Anushka, Riddhi, Hridya, Krishnapriya Pramod, Darshita Patel, Ria Singh, Shyamly Jaiswal, Mahir Iqbal, Shivansh Malhotra, Mousami Mohanty, Lakshman Jamili, Ramanaji Boodida, Kalyani Bholane, and Resham Ombse. Their hardwork was instrumental in nurturing all the incredible performers for this successful India Nite 2023 event.

“The event drew a diverse audience, including art aficionados, students, families, and tourists” said Mr. Sarabjit Singh, 2023 President of IAKC.

Deepak Thakur, the Chairperson of IAKC expressed his admiration for the performers and the vibrant cultural spirit of the city. He said, “I am delighted to see such a beautiful amalgamation of tradition and modernity in our city. The Indian Performing Arts event not only showcases the rich cultural heritage of our country but also promotes unity and diversity.”

Rajeev Bansal, the Vice Chairperson of IAKC shared his appreciation for all the current IAKC Board of Trustees, Executive Committee and Volunteers who came together in making this event a success.

India Nite 2023 was an exceptional celebration of India’s artistic heritage, blending the old and the new to captivate the hearts and minds of all who attended.
