2021 NABC Global for Bengal

Together We Can Make a Difference

Second wave of COVID-19 in India including Bengal and other states made us think how fragile our lives are. Many of us lost near and dear ones to this killer virus. North American Bengali Conference (NABC) is standing beside Bengal and its people by proceeding with the Banga Sammelan in July.

NABC has partnered with two non-profit organizations in Kolkata – Mukti and Rotary Club – during this most trying time. Already $15,000 has been sent to them to cover the cost of critical needs.

The organizing committee has consciously decided to hold the Banga Sammelan as a global virtual reality event from July 2nd to July 4th 2021. There will be art, culture, business, shopping and more in the packed three-day event, but for a greater cause which is to care for Bengal.

All excess money from this event will be donated to help Bengal’s COVID-19 relief. Similar to last year’s Hope 2020 to address Amphan and 1st wave of COVID-19, NABC is committed to take every effort to raise relief funds. Artists and production staff are able to earn some money through this event.

Here is a glimpse of some of the happening programs. After all, this global network is anticipated to create a much bigger impact on Bengali art and culture as well as on people in Bengal during pandemic. Essentially, you will be helping Bengal through your generous donation while enjoying the programs from home at your comfort.
