For the 1st time in Kansas/Missouri region, SMAP(Shivaji Maharaj Antar-Rashtriya Parivar) is arranging the event (12th June) to pay tribute to our national heroes, to celebrate the 358th anniversary of Coronation of Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was born in 1630, and took the oath of Swarajya at the tender age of 15. He established his Surajya(not only Swarajya) against all odds and got Coronated as Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, at the age of 34. His life is full of great lessons for us, on bravery, good governance, unity, respect for women, entrepreneurship, strategy and great vision.
Context of the event :
Like Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, we have many great heroes from all regions in India. We owe a lot to our leaders like Rani Chenamma, Rani Rudramma, Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Maharana Pratap, Raja Krishna Devrai, Guru Tej Bahadursingh , Alluri Sitarama Raju, Komaram Bheem, Rani Laxmibai and many many more.
At SMAP, we believe, keeping them alive in our hearts and telling their stories to next generation is our responsibility. And we use this inspiration for leadership, unity, networking and community service. No hatred, no politics, no negative content!!!
About SMAP: Shivaji Maharaj Antarrashtriya Parivaar
The SMAP foundation was formed in 2018/19 in Los Angeles, by Vijay Patil, my college friend. SMAP was founded on the core values of unity, leadership, networking, community service and women empowerment. I was very much impressed by these great values and took the responsibility as SMAP President for Kansas/Missouri region. .

Program structure:
- 3:00pm to 3:15pm : Dhol Tasha/ Procession / Lezim
- 3:15pm to 3:45pm : Welcome Address, Guest Speakers, National anthem of India and USA.
- 3:45pm to 6:00pm : Cultural activities – Live band, skits, dance, speech, musicals, (for kids <5 years : fancy dress, painting)
- 6:00pm to 6:15pm : Closing remarks / SMAP Certificates to participants/Volunteers
- 6:15pm to 7:00pm : Dinner / Networking
( Theme – tribute to national heroes, Unity, Patriotic songs)

Funds for the event:
Despite of this the being first event from SMAP, we are getting good response from the sponsors in Kansas area. The SMAP Kansas team is importing the statue of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj from Pune, India. Size is about 4′ x 4′ x 3′ and it weighs about 25-30kg. The total cost including ground shipping will be $2,500(if by Air $4,500).
Food : With expected support from the sponsors, we plan to offer the food at no cost, with
Stalls: As permitted by Temple by-laws, we will be open to host very few stalls(4-5 max) for dresses, jewelry, books, Realtors, dance academy etc. The requested donation for each stall is $50.
Sponsorship : SMAP team am looking for sponsorship from local businesses, corporates. If you can help me with the connect with sponsors, it will be really great. The respective logos of the companies will be added to the flyers and displayed during the event too.
