The grandest of Lord Jagannath's festivals, the Rath Yatra (Car Festival) was celebrated at the Hindu Temple of Kansas City on Sunday, July 18 2010 as per the program below. Tarangini of Kansas City celebrated Ugadi 2010 with a concert by 3-time Nandi Award Winner Singer Usha. The program was augmented by performances by local talent that included dances, skits by children and adults. The program was attended by almost 600 people. Mahashivratri Celebrations at Hindu Temple (183)

The Hindu Temple and Cultural Center of Kansas City proudly celebrated Maha Shiva Rathri on February 12th. Maha Shivratri is a festival celebrated every year on the 13th night/14th day in the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) of the month of Maagha (as per Shalivahana or Gujarati Vikrama) or Phalguna (as per Vikrama) in the Hindu Calendar This festival is one of the most important festivals for millions of devotees of Shiva. The festival is principally celebrated by all day fasting and an all night long vigil, poojas for Shiva Linga and giving a sacred bath with milk, honey, etc.

India Association Republic Day Celebrations, 2010 (21)

India Association of Kansas City (IAKC) celebrated its 61st Republic Day event on Sunday the 24th, with a lot of enthusiasm and fanfare. The event started with the hoisting of the Tricolor flag of India. It was followed by melodious renditions of Indian and American National Anthems by the students of the Hindi Class (conducted by Hindu Temple and Cultural Center). Students from Hindi Class also performed a variety of songs and dance sequences that won the hearts and minds of the audience.

Hindu Temple of Kansas City organized the annual event Srinivasa Kalyana Mahotsavam at the New Hall on January 16, 2010. The program was: Venkateshwara Suprabhatam at 9 am Niyraradhana/ Shodasopachara Pooja 9:30 am 10:30 am Srinivasa (Balaji) Maha Kalyanam Utsavam with Sridevi followed by Kalyanam with Bhudevi(Godadevi) and Tiruppavai Recitation and Maha Prasad.
