Ms Suchitra Padmanabhan. Now Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson appoints her as member on the Kansas Development Finance Authority.
KCdesi and the entire South Asian Community congratulates Ms Suchitra Padmanabhan on her appointment to the Board of KDFA. Padmanabhan is currently a General Partner at BC Capital, and previously worked as for Security Benefit, Bankers Trust and Lehman Brothers. She holds an MBA in Analytic Finance from the University of Chicago and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
The Kansas Development Finance Authority promotes the economic development and the general welfare of the state of Kansas by improving the accessibility to long-term capital financing by state agencies, political subdivisions, public and private organizations and businesses. The Authority structures financing for capital projects and programs through the issuance of taxable and tax-exempt bonds or other debt instruments. The Authority also serves as a source of information on capital finance mechanism available to state and local governments, and to certain private enterprises.
Ms Padmanabhan was also appointed to the Kansas Treasurer's Advisory Board. Congratulating on her appointment, Senator Vicki Schmidt said "I know you will do a terrific job and you are extremely qualified".

Suchitra has worked as the Head of Fixed Income Research at a Kansas based $20 billion asset manager. She was head of Fixed Income Research for top quartile high yield fund and other fixed income strategies, including investment grade corporates and structured products totaling over $6 billion in separate account, CDO, and mutual fund products. She also managed Alternative Investments, including investments into Private Equity, Venture Capital and Fund of Funds.
Her other work experience includes Convertible Bond capital markets at Bankers Trust Company in Hong Kong. She started her career in the Investment Banking analyst program at Lehman Brothers.
Education: CFA, MBA (Analytic Finance) from University of Chicago, BA/BE Dartmouth College.
