'Osama probably buried in Pak mountains' : US

A top US General has said Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, is probably hiding in the remote mountainous regions of Pakistan, even though no one known where he actually is. "I think he remains an iconic figure, and I think capturing or killing Osama bin Laden is still a very, very important task for all of those who are engaged in counter terrorism around the world," General David Petraeus Commander of US-led NATO forces in Afghanistan told NBC television's "Meet the Press" when asked about the Al Qaeda leader's whereabouts.

Rahman asked to tweak CWG theme song

Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is ready with the Commonwealth Games theme song but the Group of Ministers (GoM) on the Games has asked the composer to tweak it before the opening ceremony. "I presented the theme song before the GoM and it was approved. I have been asked to tweak it and it will be released within next 10 days," Rahman told reporters here at a function organised to launch the theme song.

50-hour-long Rajouri encounter ends

The nearly 50-hour-long encounter between militants and security forces in Rajouri district ended on Monday in which a Lashkar-e-Taiba militant and an Army jawan were killed and three others, including a major, injured. A total of three LeT militants, believed to be involved in the attack on a bus
in Rajouri last week, have been killed in the encounter which started when security forces launched a search operation in Shara Wali forest belt in the district on Saturday, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, R K Jalla said.
