Kansas City Bengali Association
(KCBA) is pleased to announce that it is organizing a Men's Double
Wicket Cricket Tournament (DWCT) for the second time on Saturday
July 14, 2012 at Indian Valley Park, (11606 Knox
Street) in Overland Park, Kansas.
KCBA is a local community club
promoting social and cultural activities amongst the South Asian
Community in the Greater Kansas City Area. The DWCT is one such
effort to promote South Asian Culture in the Greater Kansas City
Area and foster camaraderie and friendship within the South Asian
Community. This is the second time we are organizing this event due
to the excellent response we received last year.
Prizes
are being sponsored this year by Apna
Bazaar.
So come on all you cricket
enthusiasts, let the cricketer in you express its latent talents
and establish yourself as the leading cricketers in Kansas
City.
The tournament will comprise of
16 teams and will be played on league and play offs
basis.
Each team will have two
members. The event is open to everyone, but registration can
only be done as a team and not
individually.

Teams will be registered on a
first come first served basis until we have 16 teams
registered.

registration details, venue and tournament entry forms are
available in the attachment.
The entry fee for each team is
$30, which is payable at the time of registration.
Teams are expected to bring their
own bats. The tournament will be played using "Hard Cricket
Tennis Balls that are taped". KCBA will provide balls for all
matches.
KCBA will also provide energy
drinks and water to all participants at no additional costs.
KCBA is also planning on setting up food/snacks stalls at the venue
where participants can buy food and drink items at nominal
cost.
