Experienced Manual QA Engineer - 5+ years
This is the list of characteristics that seem most applicable to this position. Basically they need to learn fast with little to no documentation. We will need someone that has a proven track record of past manual testing experience. The outcome of the project should be accurate testing, reporting and documentation of the work completed. The project will be executed by a team of developers with one primary QA engineer and one Contracted QA engineer.

Strong MS SQL testing experience. Ability to evaluate a stored procedure with little to no assistance.

They should be able to join a project with no previous knowledge of the products and be able to join the testing effort with a minimum of training.

Experience testing in a thick client environment.

Experience with Rally or other Agile style test management tool like Jira.

Ability to document work.testing results, defects, work completed as the project progresses.

Ability to follow a test plan and possibly augment the plan in place.

Ability to suggest additional areas of testing that might not be covered.

Ability to work independently.

Ability to engage development team to gain understanding of functionality, provide suggestions and demonstrate defects when identified.
