Larger store features expanded selections in engagement rings, bridal sets and fashion jewelry

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas, Sept. 10, 2011 – Karats Jewelers, a sixth-generation family jewelry store, is pleased to announce its upcoming relocation to 8651 W. 135th Street in Overland Park, KS. The new Karats will be located on the SE corner of 135th Street and Antioch, near Red Robin and Mr. Gyros restaurants. Karats will continue to serve customers in its current location at 13420 Metcalf Avenue through Friday, September 30, 2011.
“As a sixth-generation jeweler from New Delhi, India, I have literally grown up in the business,” said owner Akshay Anand. “This expansion will make us one of the largest locally owned and operated jewelry stores in Kansas. It enables us to offer an unmatched selection of engagement rings, bridal sets, 22K gold, fashion jewelry and designer timepieces,” he continued.
Anand also stated, “As an Indian immigrant, I want to provide our community with the best jewelry selection and personal service. I offer many Indian pieces and can help with gold coins and 22K jewelry. I want to be part of your family’s special occasions and celebrations.”
Anand opened Karats Jewelers in its original location in 2005. He continues a family legacy of providing beautiful jewelry and unparalleled customer service. The new Karats Jewelers store will encompass more than 5000 square feet and employ five people, including two appraisers and a gemologist.
Store Designed to Enhance Customer Experience
The new Karats will feature enhanced, in-store services and a layout designed to make the shopping experience more convenient and inviting for customers. There is a special emphasis on engagement rings and bridal sets, with nearly one-quarter of the store devoted to designer rings.
Customers will find comfortable seating throughout the store as well as complimentary beverages.
